Reel Big Fish is my favorite band. They are on Mojo the same label as Goldfinger
and a few other famous bands. Mojo has a really nice webpage. The best RBF
webpage is their. It is animated and plays sell out in the background, so if
you are a RBF fan, or just like a nice webpage, check it out.
RBF is made up of...
The first major release from RBF was Turn The Radio Off. It is my favorite CD
of all time. It is in my CD player over half the time. One thing I love about
RBF is the variation of the songs, not all of them sound the same. The upbeat
"Sell Out" and "I Will Never Be" are great Ska songs. The oringinal sounding
"Trendy" and "S.R."(giving tribute to an obscure band Suburban Rhythm) give
RBF a very original sound. If you like Ska, Pop Rock, or Alternative this is
a must have. The songs...
The next release from RBF came in the form of a five song EP, Keep Your Receipt.
Two songs, "Alternative Baby, and S.R. appeared on the first album and "I'm Cool" is
on the new album. So you are only getting two original songs, "Unity" and
"Why Do All Girls Think They're Fat." So some casual fans may want pass on
this CD. The awesome part about this CD is you can load it on a CD Rom. It has
three full videos, "Everything Sucks", "Sell Out"(great video) and a performance
of "Trendy" at a party. It is cool...
The newest album, Why Do They Rock So Hard is more of a pop album than
the first one. It is started to grow on me with more catchy songs, but they
don't quite rock as much as the first album. The first five songs are really
great and would be a great opening except lined up against the opening of the
first CD. RBF fans though this is a must have. For casual fans, you may want
to wait for the next single to be released to see if you like it. After the first
five songs, the album is mixed with good to decent songs, with not a bad song on
it. It is still a must have...
They also have a great song on the Baseketball soundtrack, "Take On Me" the remake of the Ah-Ha song of the same name. More RBF stuff to come!!
